AWARD-WINNING AND
FESTIVAL-EMBRACED FILM
MISSING VICTOR PELLERIN COMES TO DVD!

Two truths, one lie:

– Victor Pellerin, or the person who went by that name is real.
– This film is entirely scripted.
– Belladona exists and can be dangerous (fatal, if used improperly).

– Sophie Deraspe, writer, director and cinematographer of
Missing Victor Pellerin.

In 1990, Victor Pellerin, a young painter and darling of the Montréal art scene, burns his work and disappears without a trace. Fifteen years later, the documentary filmmaker (above) revisits the events that led to his disappearance, meeting the people who were part of his inner circle and who succumbed to his troubled personality. Alternating between documentary and cinema vérité, Missing Victor Pellerin takes a close look at this charismatic character, exploring the contradictory points of view of those who knew him.

Special Jury Mention, Festival du nouveau Cinéma 2006 and fresh off widely-covered theatrical runs in Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City Missing Victor Pellerin is one of the most fascinating and engaging Quebec productions of the past year.

Missing Victor Pellerin is Morningstar Entertainment?s first release from Montreal-based Atopia, a leading independent film and distribution company. Missing Victor Pellerin is set to release on DVD June 5, 2007 in French language with English subtitles. Special features include, both English and French language audio commentaries with Director Sophie Deraspe, Art Dealer Eric Delvin, Artists: Sylvain Bouthillette, Anne Lebeau, Sheila Ribeiro, Plastik Patrik, Victor Pellerin's sister Elisabth Legrand & Art Director Antonin Sorel.
